EMU Tools
We have two forms of survey for data collection: an app version, and a website version. Our app currently only accounts for android phones, hence, we are using a website version of the survey to reach out to the Apple demographic.
Android App Survey
The EMU survey app is currently compatible with Android phones and goes through the PHQ-9 (Patient Health Questionnaire -9), phone data permissions, and modalities like text prompts, audio prompts, and demographics questionnaire. We use data from these data collections to train our machine learning models in detecting mental health problems. Eventually, this app will be able to deploy interventions.
Website Survey
Our website survey accesses participants who have phones other than an Android one. The website survey currently replicates most of the pages from the app.
